How to find it:
- In 3000 Xtra, press F4 to open a quote browser
- Type <XFXFORWARD> for a full list of available
currency pairs
- Double click on the underlying code of the currency you
require

If you are on a bank holiday and/or your office is closed, you
can inform counterparties who contact you with an automated
broadcast.
- Go to the Setup menu
- Select AUTOREPLY
- Define your own text in the field.
- Once you are happy with your message, press
Save.

If you are looking for EUR, USD, CHF and JPY prices which
have high liquidity and you cannot find it under <D3FX=>,
then you can easily view our RTFX traded prices in Reuters 3000Xtra
by entering <RTFX/1> and <FX=RTFX>.

Shortcuts/ Abbreviations are used to speed up
the writing of commonly used phrases. You can define them under
SETUP --> USER PREFERENCES -->
ABBREVIATIONS.
To add a NEW Abbreviation simply type in the
Abbreviation and the Expanded Text (up to 60 characters) and click
on Insert.
To use a list of another user on your TCID, type their user ID
in the REPLACE WITH USER command line on the right, and select
REPLACE. Pls. note that this step replaces your list with theirs,
so you lose any abbreviations you had formerly. Do not forget to
SAVE as you leave this tab.
The Softkey Macro Facility allows a user to record keystrokes
for later playback and associate them to function keys on the
keyboard.
They enable a whole string to be written on the screen by the
press of a SINGLE function key or shift function key.

How to record a softkey:
1) Either double-click on the line associated with the key you
wish to program, or hit your chosen function key (or shift function
key) to begin recording. (ALLOWABLE: F2 - F12, & SHIFT F2 -
SHIFT F12)
2) Anything you press on the keyboard now OR select from the
Special Keys column will be part of the softkey program. You are
allowed up to 30 keystrokes. If you find that the softkey works too
fast and leaves out some text, pls. insert a PAUSE (this represents
a 500ms delay between keystrokes).
3) Hit the same function key again to stop recording.
4) Test the softkey in a test conversation.

1. Select a News Object or
press F9 and type
[IND/DIARY].
2. Double-click to the most recent headline to
open the full index of diaries.
3. Select the relevant diary by double-clicking
into the relevant code, for example [CEN/DIARY]
for the major central bank events.
4. Double-click into one of the headlines to
view upcoming central bank events.

<HOLIDAY1> to access the main Speed
Guide with holiday dates.
2. Navigate to the following pages to find the
country of your interest and click on the code in chevron
<...> brackets, OR...
3. Directly type
<XX/HOLIDAY> into the Quote Object;
XX stands for first two letters of the currency
code, e.g. <GB/HOLIDAY>.
